Should they have a Christmas?

Dear, Friend
I am writing to you on behalf of the Spanish American International Chaplain Association of Florida (SAICA) now in Alabama. SAICA is a non-profit organization, nondenominational, developed by Bishop Dr. Enrique Hernandez six years ago with the mission of promoting the training and professional certification of women and men in the pastoral care field and professional counseling.
As of July 18, 2011, our organization is registered in Alabama (501c3). In Alabama, our mission is to ensure that every Hispanic or individuals in need that come to us for help receives assistance. We are also committed to educate and help the new Hispanic immigrants to adjust to the new culture.
We are asking for your help because we have been confronted with a real need which we were not expecting this year. We all know that Christmas is a time of joy. Sadly, many of these families with children that live in our community are living in fear and are suffering. We are aware that some children do not qualify to receive toys from organizations like Toys for Tots because of their or their parent’s immigration status.
Families are too afraid to reach out for help to places like Christmas Charities and Salvation Army. We would like to have a Christmas Fiesta for these families and provide them with gift certificates, food, and at least one toy for each child. We would like to have this festivity no later than December 24, 2011. Our goal is to serve as many families as possible. We are also in the need of a building where we can have a food pantry and a place to have this festivity. We would greatly appreciate a donation that comes from your heart. Your donation is tax-deductible since we are a tax-exempt organization.
