La preparación antes de la revelación

Hubo en los días de Herodes, rey de Judea, un sacerdote llamado Zacarías, de la clase de Abías; su mujer era de las hijas de Aarón, y se llamaba Elisabet. Ambos eran justos delante de Dios, y andaban irreprensibles en todos los mandamientos y ordenanzas del Señor. Pero no tenían hijo, porque Elisabet era estéril, y ambos eran ya de edad avanzada. Aconteció que ejerciendo Zacarías el sacerdocio delante de Dios según el orden de su clase, conforme a la costumbre del sacerdocio, le tocó en suerte ofrecer el incienso, entrando en el santuario del Señor. Y toda la multitud del pueblo estaba fuera orando a la hora del incienso. Y se le apareció un ángel del Señor puesto en pie a la derecha del altar del incienso. Y se turbó Zacarías al verle, y le sobrecogió temor. Pero el ángel le dijo: Zacarías, no temas; porque tu oración ha sido oída, y tu mujer Elisabet te dará a luz un hijo, y llamarás su nombre Juan. Y tendrás gozo y alegría, y muchos se regocijarán de su nacimiento;  porque será grande delante de Dios. No beberá vino ni sidra, y será lleno del Espíritu Santo, aun desde el vientre de su madre. Y hará que muchos de los hijos de Israel se conviertan al Señor Dios de ellos. E irá delante de él con el espíritu y el poder de Elías, para hacer volver los corazones de los padres a los hijos, y de los rebeldes a la prudencia de los justos, para preparar al Señor un pueblo bien dispuesto.” (Lucas 1:5-17)

Amigos, es bíblica y teológicamente fundamental entrar en la obra de la Navidad, para crear el marco fundamental que viene a través de la vida de Juan el Bautista. Verá, Juan vino antes que Jesús, tanto en el nacimiento como en el ministerio. Juan fue la preparación y Jesús fue la revelación. Juan bautizó con agua, Jesús bautizó con el  Espíritu Santo y fuego (Mateo 3:11). Juan dijo: “Arrepentíos, porque el Reino de Dios está cerca” (Marcos 1:15). Jesús dijo: “Levántense porque el Reino de Dios está entre ustedes” (Lucas 17:21).
Siempre hay una temporada de Juan antes que la temporada de Jesús. Siempre hay un tiempo de preparación antes de la ¡temporada de la revelación! Prepárese, ya tuvo su Juan, ¡ahora viene su temporada de Jesús!

Esta comienza en los días de Herodes. Los días de Herodes representan los tiempos difíciles y turbulentos. El reinado de Herodes fue uno de grandes sufrimientos, persecución y angustia. La gente no sabía lo que venía después. Pero en medio del reinado de Herodes nació Jesús. Cada vez que hay un Herodes en su vida, cuando se encuentra rodeado de sufrimiento, persecución y angustia, prepárese porque por cada Herodes, ¡debe haber un Jesús!

El sexto verso dice que ambos eran justos. Lo cual sirve como plataforma para lo milagroso.Las personas justas atraen lo milagroso. Repita conmigo: “Declaro justicia sobre mi familia, mi vida y mi destino. Todo lo que estuvo mal, todo lo que fue pecaminoso, todo lo que fue empañado, hoy por la sangre de Jesús, ¡es justo!”. Entonces la Biblia dice: “Al que no cometió pecado alguno, por nosotros Dios lo trató como pecador, para que en él recibiéramos la justicia de Dios”(2 Corintios 5:21).
Permítanme explicarlo. Algunas personas confunden la justicia con la santidad, pero la justicia no tiene nada que ver con la forma de actuar. La santidad es su conducta; la justicia es lo que usted es, la naturaleza de Dios. La justicia significa literalmente estar a la derecha. Ahora, ¿quién está a la derecha del Padre? Jesús. Cuando usted es justo, significa que está a la derecha de Dios o en Jesús. Efesios 2:06 dice: “Y en unión con Cristo Jesús, Dios nos resucitó y nos hizo sentar con él en las regiones celestiales”.
No olvidemos que tenemos una doble nacionalidad. Primero que nada somos ciudadanos del Reino de Dios. No hay ciudadanos indocumentados en el Reino. Ser un creyente (estar en Cristo Jesús) lo hace a usted un ciudadano en el Reino de Dios y le da derecho a todo en ese Reino.
Dígase, ¡tengo derechos! Tengo el derecho a la vida que es eterna y abundante. Tengo el derecho de ir de gloria en gloria. Tengo el derecho a su presencia, su poder y su protección. Tengo el derecho a esperar más de lo que haya orado, porque Dios dijo que va a hacer extraordinariamente, en abundancia, por encima de todo lo que pueda imaginar o desear. Tengo el derecho a ser la cabeza y no la cola, y a ser llamado el hijo del Dios vivo. ¡Porque soy justicia de Dios!
 
El verso 7 dice que no tenían hijos porque ella era estéril y, además, eran mayores de edad. No sólo era estéril, sino que había circunstancias que excluían toda posibilidad de una explicación humana. Si esta mujer quedaba embarazada, la única razón era: ¡sólo Dios!  Porque sólo Dios puede hacer un camino donde no lo hay (Isaías 43). Solo Dios puede cambiar nuestro lamento en danza (Salmo 30:11) y dar gloria en vez de cenizas (Isaías 61:3). 

La Biblia dice que Zacarías trabajó en el templo quemando incienso. Entonces el ángel del Señor se apareció en el lado derecho del altar con una palabra. Verá, el trabajo de Zacarías era adorar. La adoración siempre atrae a una palabra. Una palabra del cielo siempre aparecerá a la derecha de nuestra alabanza. Por esta razón adoramos. Yo no alabo porque obtuve una palabra, recibí una la palabra porque alabé. 

 El obstáculo número uno para dar a luz a lo glorioso es el miedo. Cuando Zacarías escuchó la palabra, temió. El ángel le dijo que no temiera. Dios le está diciendo a usted: No tema. El miedo es el enemigo de la fe. El temor hace mirar hacia atrás en vez de hacia adelante. El temor tiene un hermano que se llama duda y juntos han tomado la fe como rehén.  Pero tengo una buena noticia que darle: “Dios no nos ha dado un espíritu de timidez, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio” ( 2 Timoteo 1:7), “No temas, porque yo estoy contigo” ( Isaías 41:10), “No tengan miedo; ustedes valen más que muchos gorriones” (Mateo 10:31). Si se combinan la justicia con la adoración y extrae todo temor, esta es la palabra que llega para usted, esto es lo que el ángel emitió desde el cielo, es lo que Dios le está diciendo hoy: Su petición ha sido contestada, su oración ha sido escuchada; Dará a luz  lo imposible; Tendrá gozo y alegría; Muchos se regocijarán con su nacimiento.

En esta época navideña recuerde que su temporada de dar a luz milagros está a la vuelta de la esquina.

Anti-immigration forces are making infants of undocumented aliens in the United States cannon fodder in the war over immigration, Parham observes.

Anti-immigration forces have taken a page out of the Bible in their political power play: Punish the babies. Thats right: Make infants of undocumented aliens in the United States cannon fodder in the war over immigration.

 

The anti-immigration faction with faith credentials is targeting so-called anchor babies, the newborns of undocumented immigrants. The goal is to deny these newborns American birth certificates and thereby citizenship. Without birth certificates, goes the argument, they and their parents will be easier to deport.

 

Pharaoh and Herod, not Moses and Jesus, are the heroes of the anti-immigration forces.

 

Remember the biblical stories about Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and Herod, the Roman appointed king of Judea?

 

When overcome with dread of the increasing population of Hebrew slaves in Egypt, Pharaoh ordered midwives to murder newborn Hebrew sons. Then, he commanded Egyptians to cast the baby boys into the Nile. Saved by a courageous mother, Moses survived and became the one who freed the Hebrew slaves.

 

When gripped with political anxiety, Herod ordered all baby boys 2 years old and younger in the region of Bethlehem to be killed. Saved by an obedient father, who escaped Herods murderous rampage by fleeing to Egypt, Jesus was the messiah who announced justice, welcomed the children and gave the imperative to love neighbor.

 

Rather than listen to the biblical heroes of freedom and justice, the anti-immigration forces have embraced two of the darkest biblical figures figures who targeted children to pursue their fear-laden political objectives.

 

Isnt that what they are doing with their rhetoric about anchor babies and their promised laws to keep babies of undocumented immigrants born in this country from being granted birth certificates?

 

State Sen. Russell Pearce (R-Ariz.), the chief advocate of Arizonas controversial new anti-immigration law, has promised to introduce a bill this fall that would deny birth certificates to children born here to non-citizen parents, according to the Arizona Republic newspaper.

 

They are citizens of the country of their mother, said Pearce, a Mormon. Thats why they are called in some cases jackpot babies or anchor babies.‘”

 

Of course, his promised bill violates the U.S. Constitution. The 14th Amendment states: All persons, born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.

 

The Constitution hasnt stopped Rand Paul, Kentuckys Republican Senate nominee, from voicing his support of the movement to deny citizenship to babies born in America of undocumented immigrants.

 

Were the only country that I know that allows people to come in illegally, have a baby, and then that baby becomes a citizen. And I think that should stop also, said Paul, a Baylor University graduate and a Presbyterian church member.

 

Pauls position reflects the stance of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), an anti-immigration organization.

 

An anchor baby is defined as an offspring of an illegal immigrant or other non-citizen, who under current legal interpretation becomes a United States citizen at birth. These children may instantly qualify for welfare and other state and local benefit programs, reads a statement on the FAIR website.

 

FAIR warns that anchor babies burden schools, increase taxes and reward law-breakers.

 

A June 3 Rasmussen Report disclosed that 58 percent of U.S. voters say a child born to an illegal immigrant in this country should not automatically become a citizen of the United States.

 

The same telephone survey found that Fifty-two percent (52%) of Democrats think children born to illegal immigrants in this country should automatically become U.S. citizens. Seventy-six percent (76%) of Republicans and 60% of voters not affiliated with either major party disagree.

 

Given the meager interest among Democrats to support the 14th Amendment, one is not surprised that Democrats have lost their voice in support of children. Given the abundant support among Republicans for citizenship denial, one is not surprised that they have joined the campaign to target babies of unauthorized immigrants.

 

At the national level, Rep. Nathan Deal (R-Ga.) has introduced the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2009, a bill that would remove the birthright to U.S. citizenship for babies born to undocumented immigrants. The bill would allow for citizenship if one parent is a U.S. citizen. The bill has 91 co-sponsors all Republicans and no Democrats.

 

The biographical page on the Deal for Governor website highlights his legislative effort to end automatic birthright citizenship as well as his membership at the First Baptist Church of Gainesville, where he has been both a deacon and Sunday School teacher.

 

The First Baptist Church of Gainesville is listed as a church affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

 

A bill co-sponsor is Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), who is a member of North Phoenix Baptist Church, a mega-church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.

 

Franks said last year that he was considering a lawsuit against President Obama over his birth certificate.

 

At the Texas Republican state convention in June, delegates voted to end birthright citizenship.

 

Only a few years ago, the Republican Party of Texas affirmed that the United States is a Christian nation and pledged to dispel the myth of the separation of Church and State.

 

The record is clear. People of faith Christians and Mormons find it acceptable to punish newborns to achieve a political objective on immigration.

 

What is inexplicable is how Pharaoh and Herod became role models in faithful America.

Piense acerca de lo que está pensando

La Biblia presenta instrucciones detalladas sobre la clase de cosas en las que debemos pensar. Puede ver en Filipenses 4:8 que se nos enseña que debemos pensar en cosas buenas y edificantes, y no en cosas destructivas. Nuestros pensamientos sin duda afectan nuestras actitudes y nuestro estado de ánimo. Todo lo que el Señor nos dice es para nuestro propio bien. Él conoce qué es lo que nos hace felices y lo que nos pone tristes.

Cuando las personas se llenan de malos pensamientos, se sienten mal, y he aprendido por experiencia personal que las personas deprimidas terminan deprimiendo también a los demás.  Haga en forma regular un inventario personal y pregúntese: “¿En qué he estado pensando?”. Tómese un tiempo para examinar los pensamientos que ocupan su mente habitualmente.

Pensar acerca de lo que se está pensando es muy valioso, porque Satanás suele engañar a las personas para que crean que el origen de su tristeza o problema es algo que en realidad no es. Él quiere que piensen que son infelices por lo que ocurre a su alrededor (sus circunstancias), pero su malestar se debe en realidad a lo que está ocurriendo adentro de la persona (sus pensamientos).

Durante muchos años, verdaderamente creí que era infeliz debido a lo que los demás hacían o dejaban de hacer. Culpaba a mi esposo y mis hijos por mi tristeza. Pensaba que sería feliz si ellos fuesen diferentes, si fuesen más atentos para con mis necesidades, si ayudaran más en la casa. Al principio, era una cosa, y luego otra, durante años. Finalmente, enfrenté la verdad, y era que ninguna de esas cosas podría hacerme infeliz si yo adoptaba la actitud correcta. Eran mis pensamientos los que me hacían sentir miserable.

Lo aliento a que piense acerca de lo que está pensando. Cuando cambie las cosas en las que permite que su mente piense demasiado, estará en camino de lograr una gran libertad, plenitud y victoria.

Cada uno de nosotros esperamos recibir bendiciones. Queremos comida, ropa y una casa bonita para nuestras familias. Deseamos paz, gozo y amistad. Dios quiere esas mismas cosas para nosotros.
Pero Él puede darnos mucho más que únicamente lo suficiente para sobrevivir. Él tiene la habilidad de proveer para nosotros más allá de lo que podemos imaginarnos y puede bendecirnos radical y extraordinariamente. Considere estas palabras: Radical significa: “drástico o en extremo”. Extraordinario significa: “más allá de la razón, sin reservas, impresionante. Esa es la clase de bendiciones que Dios tiene para usted y para mí.
La Escritura confirma que Dios desea proveer para Su pueblo de manera extraordinaria. El Salmo 23:5 dice: …unges mi cabeza con aceite; mi copa está rebosando.  En Malaquías 3:10, Dios dice: probadme ahora en esto… si no os abriré las ventanas de los cielos, y derramaré sobre vosotros bendición hasta que sobreabunde.  Dios quiere proveer abundantemente y en maneras tan grandes que no podemos comprender.
CREYENDO LA PROMESA DE DIOS

¿Cómo tenemos acceso a las bendiciones radicales y extraordinarias? Efesios 2:10 nos da más entendimiento en cuanto a esto, explicándonos que Dios preparó de antemano una buena vida para nosotros. Usted y yo podemos tener esa vida únicamente si elegimos caminar en ella, si nos sometemos a Su voluntad para nosotros. La clave es la obediencia.
Me es de gran ánimo leer sobre otros seguidores obedientes de Dios, como lo fueron Noé y Daniel. Noé obedeció a Dios construyendo un arca sin tener señales visibles de que lo que Dios le había dicho era verdad. También obedeció las otras instrucciones de Dios, como por ejemplo: mover dentro del arca a su familia junto a la manada de animales de par en par lo cual fue una tarea monumental. Después del diluvio las aguas bajaron y la bendición de Noé fue evidente: Tanto él como los demás habitantes del arca eran los únicos seres vivientes que quedaban en la tierra. 

Daniel también recibió bendiciones radicales de parte de Dios. Él fue llevado a la casa del rey para ser enseñado, estuvo de acuerdo con las restricciones de Dios, de que no comería ciertas comidas o haría ciertas cosas a pesar de que el rey le dijo que hiciera lo contrario. Daniel propuso en su corazón no contaminarse. Él pidió, que no se le obligase a comer de la porción de la comida del rey o beber del vino que se le sirviera. Hasta donde él sabía, podía morir si rehusaba ceder y desobedecer los deseos del rey, pero él tenía que hacer lo que creía era lo correcto. También, contrario a las instrucciones del rey, Daniel continuó orando a Dios y no al rey. ¿Qué bendiciones recibió Daniel por ser tan obediente? A cualquier lugar que fue, desempeñó un papel de liderazgo. Recibió favor ante todas las personas y ante todos los reyes. Tenía sabiduría, conocimiento, y podía interpretar sueños. Ahora bien, esa es ¡una bendición radical y extraordinaria!
SEMBRANDO SEMILLAS RADICALES
En todo lo que hacemos en la vida, estamos sembrando semillas y cosechando lo que sembramos. Cada vez que desobedecemos a Dios, estamos sembrando una semilla de la que no queremos cosechar. Cada vez que obedecemos a Dios, estamos sembrando una buena semilla. Así que, ¿cómo sembramos las semillas radicales que producen una cosecha de bendiciones radicales?
Primero, debemos aprender a escuchar la voz de Dios claramente.  No puede obedecer a Dios si no sabe cómo escucharlo y nosotros tenemos un derecho comprado con sangre de ser dirigidos por Él. Dios nos habla de muchas maneras, a través de la naturaleza, el sentido común y la mayoría de las veces por medio de Su PALABRA. También nos dirige por medio de esa voz apacible y delicada de Su Espíritu en nosotros. Ésta es una de las maneras más comunes para escuchar de Él. Una vez que usted comienza a reconocer Su voz, puede elegir a obedecerlo. Sin embargo, para oír de Él, es necesario estar callados y quietos. Necesitamos silencio tanto en nuestro interior como en nuestro exterior para poder oír esa voz apacible. Algunas veces la única forma de lograr ese silencio es apagando el timbre de nuestro teléfono, salir de la casa, o encontrar un lugar tranquilo.

If you are really angry about immigration then you should be asking questions about U.S. foreign policy.

In the aftermath of the extremely racist Arizona anti-immigrant legislation-SB 1070-and the fact that opinion polls seem to indicate that a majority of the public supports this obliteration of basic human rights, it is worth asking a few tough questions.  Let’s start with these:

  1. Was the financial collapse in the fall of 2008 caused by immigrants-documented or otherwise?

  2. Has the decline of the U.S. auto industry, and the corresponding loss of thousands of jobs, been the result of immigrants?

  3. Has the U.S. lost its shipbuilding industry due to immigrants?

  4. Is there any recession (or depression) on record that can be attributed to immigrants?

If you cannot demonstrate that immigration has had anything to do with the declining economy and its impact on working people, then you need to look for other culprits.

What is happening in Arizona is a travesty.  Playing on fears, a racist piece of legislation was passed that allegedly addresses a problem that has been proven to be on the decline.    That’s right, undocumented immigration is declining.  Yet the legislation that was passed was playing to the fears largely of White Americans who are watching the demographics of the USA change.  In that sense the Arizona legislation that aims to go after anyone appearing to be an “illegal alien” is not so much aimed at undocumented immigrants but is aimed at Chicanos and Native Americans as populations, and also aimed at stirring up right-wing fears among whites, driving them to the Republican Party.

Contemporary immigration has resulted from several critical factors.  One has to do with the legacy of colonialism and Western domination of Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean , which deformed the societies and economies of these regions.  A second has to do with wars, many of which are directly related to the active interference of outside powers, particularly the USA and Europe . A third has to do with the growing environmental crisis, including but not limited to global warming, wherein lands are becoming deserts, on the one hand, and being submerged under water, on the other hand.

Putting this all together, the immigration that we are witnessing is not the result of people coming with the intent to steal “our” jobs but is the result of desperation.  Playing on this desperation are unscrupulous employers who seek vulnerable and inexpensive labor.

Putting up walls or massive raids on immigrant communities does not come close to addressing the real challenge.  People are moving to the USA , Western Europe and Canada not because they want to, but because they have to.  Insofar as they are unable to have real self-determination because their economies have been dominated and/or destroyed by Western countries or to the extent to which their lands have been devastated by wars financed by the West, millions move.

This is the discussion that must take place, including within Black America.  Too many African Americans find themselves seduced by anti-immigrant bias in large part because of the desperation of our own condition.  As we have watched our own jobs disappear and seen ruthless employers utilize immigrant labor, it is not surprising that there are resentments that emerge.  That, however, does not justify such feelings.

Arizona’s anti-immigrant legislation is the logical outcome of deep-seated racism combined with a refusal to acknowledge the implications of U.S. economic and political actions on the rest of the world, particularly toward Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean .  In other words, for those who believe-rightly or wrongly-that immigration is out of control and is somehow a threat, they should not look south of the border but should look into the U.S. mirrorand be prepared for the shock of their lives.

Y sabemos que a los que aman a Dios todas las cosas nos ayudan para bien….. Romanos 8:28 deleitese leyendo todo el capitulo. Continuemos orando!!!

El reposo de Dios

Hebreos 4:3 enseña que los que creen en Dios, entran en su reposo. Experimentar su descanso es una manera de que usted pueda decir si realmente cree, o si sólo está tratando de tener fe. Cuando usted realmente entra en la esfera de la fe, entra en el reposo de Dios.

 

El reposo es libertad del excesivo razonamiento, luchas, miedo, agitación interna, preocupación y frustración, que se desarrollan cuando tratamos de hacer lo que sólo Dios puede hacer. Estar en el reposo de Dios no es necesariamente reposar de la actividad física, sino reposar en confianza en medio de todas las cosas que vienen en la vida. Es un descanso del alma donde la mente, la voluntad y las emociones están en paz.

 

Puede reposar en Dios, porque sabe que Él tiene cuidado de usted y provee para sus necesidades. Usted no sabe cuándo o cómo, y realmente no se preocupa, porque está disfrutando de la vida en este mismo momento, mientras Dios se ocupa de su problema.

 

Dios quiere que vivamos en paz y en su reposo. Pero para poder hacerlo, necesitamos “creer que él existe y que recompensa a quienes lo buscan” (Hebreos 11:6).

 

Si usted está agotado, lo urjo a entrar en el reposo de Dios. Lo animo a dejar de tratar de controlar todo y todos a su alrededor y sencillamente permitir que Dios haga por usted lo que usted no puede hacer.

 

No importa lo que usted enfrente, Dios quiere ayudarlo y darle reposo.

 Yo creo que el mundo se está fijando en la gente que se hace llamar cristiana.  Y en mi opinión ellos no se fijan en cuántas veces vamos a la iglesia o cuántas veces  cargamos nuestras Biblias.

Yo creo que ellos están observando  qué clase de carácter es el que demostramos.  Yo creo que ellos anhelan ver al Jesús real en nuestras vidas—algo que hará que ellos quieran tener la fe que nosotros decimos que tenemos.

Es fácil ver que el mundo está desesperado por personas con carácter piadoso—personas que harán que las cosas mejoren porque para ellos lo más importante es amar a los demás como Dios lo hace. Ahora, cuando yo digo carácter, yo estoy hablando acerca de la combinación de características piadosas que se han convertido en un hábito en nuestras vidas—es decir nuestra respuesta natural a las cosas. Por ejemplo, ya no les gritamos a los conductores que nos irritan al manejar delante de nosotros de una manera tan lenta porque hemos adquirido el hábito de orar por ellos; ya no nos ponemos ansiosos o impacientes cuando tenemos que esperar en la fila, porque hemos practicado el caminar en la paz de Dios… en otras palabras, regularmente nosotros escogemos rendir todo lo somos y tenemos a Dios y a Sus propósitos.

Una de las principales formas en que desarrollamos carácter es al esperar en Dios.  Isaías 40:31 dice, los que esperan a Jehová tendrán nuevas fuerzas;  levantarán alas como las águilas… (RV60). Mientras tomamos tiempo en esperar en el Señor y obedecemos consistentemente Su Palabra, renovaremos nuestra fuerza para caminar en el Espíritu como hijos de Dios imitando a nuestro Padre.

Una característica particular, en la que nos estamos enfocando en este mes, que refleja la naturaleza de Dios, es el hábito de dar siempre para apoyar la obra del Evangelio. Sin la ayuda de los amigos y socios de los Ministerios Joyce Meyer, nosotros no podríamos alcanzar con el evangelio a la audiencia potencial de 3 mil millones de personas al día, proveyendo comida y cuidado para huérfanos, construyendo hospitales y realizando cualquier otra buena obra que Dios nos ha permitido hacer alrededor del mundo. Ninguna iglesia o ministerio puede lograr lo que dios le ha llamado a realizar sin las generosas contribuciones del pueblo de Dios.

El hecho es que, la gente no puede ver lo que está en nuestros corazones, pero ellos sí pueden ver lo que hacemos. ¿Está usted deseoso de estar entre aquellos que han elegido asociarse con Dios—ayudando a alcanzar con Su amor a un mundo perdido y herido? Recuerde, la gente está esperando que usted y yo les demostremos lo real y verdadero; ellos, también pueden disfrutar la vida diaria.
Mientras usted lea la edición de este mes, yo confío que sea animado a esperar en el Señor para que se pueda levantar con alas de águila y demuestre el carácter de su Padre celestial donde quiera que vaya.

Latinas Feeling Uncertain About Healthcare Debate

Accentmarketing announced its latest release from its Latinas in Charge initiative - “Redefining the Meaning of Well-Being.” This release further explores the U.S. Latina mindset on health, healthcare and health insurance - topics at the forefront of this nation’s agenda.

“We’ve closed the gap in how previous studies have looked at the Hispanic population from a macro view by taking a closer look at the Latina population in the United States to better understand the dynamic and changing social role given the momentous change,” said Maria Romero, President and Managing Partner of Accentmarketing. “This release provides marketers with the ‘why’ - and what to do about it. Highlights from “Redefining the Meaning of Well-Being” include:

* Latinas understand and think of health as a “we” discussion, not a “me” discussion. Latinas talk about their health in the context of the family - children and husband.
* There is continued tension between traditional culture and newer adoptive culture. Using their diet as an example, conflicting opinions often confuse healthy diet choices: being told traditional foods are often bad while healthy diet items are often more expensive (i.e. organic food) to implement.
* In US healthcare debate - particularly issues surrounding health insurance coverage - uncertainty rules among Latinas. Health insurance in USA is often seen as luxury. Many still seek healthcare support outside of USA.

Key Takeaway: Though Latinas are “hopeful” that debate and changes will improve the healthcare situation (more coverage, lowering costs) they still hold reservations that current proposal will result in a positive change.
